Many of us have to commute to our workplace, and that makes a monthly dent in our paychecks. Have you ever thought about starting a carpool? Not only will you be doing your part to help keep our environment clean, but you’ll also save on the amount of gas you purchase weekly!
If you and at least two of your friends decide to carpool on a weekly basis, then that means two less cars on the road. Think of it like this, if you and 10 of your friends decided to start your own respective carpools, then that’s 20 less cars on the road – enough to fill the bottom floor of a parking garage! Carpooling means less congestion on the roads. Less congestion means less pollution in the air that we breathe daily.
Being part of a carpool also has benefits for your own health! Every morning there’s always a certain degree of stress – you might get caught in traffic, or it’s such a pain finding parking, not the mention the price of gas is still rising. Carpools can be a morning and afternoon place of haven. If you’re not driving then you can take a nap on the way home, or finish up some work that you had left over. Because there will be less cars on the road parking will be more manageable and gas won’t be a hassle because you can share the costs. If you’re stressed then you can talk it out with your new friends and have some good laughs.
